Veterinary inspectors at the Yugoslav border have turned back part of a consignment of aid from the ADRA CR humanitarian organisation for starving Serbs. Fearing the potential effects of a BSE contagion, they said, they refused to permit the importation of 7.5 tonnes of powdered milk. Last week, Yugoslav authorities banned all dairy product imports from Great Britain.
