Italian cheese specialist DalterFood Group has elevated Antonio Gizzi to lead the business as general manager.

Gizzi, who joined DalterFood in 2018, was group sales manager, with additional responsibility for research and development.

He succeeds Andrea Guidi, who had led DalterFood since 2021.

In a statement, the company said Gizzi has “significant experience” in the agri-food sector, with a focus on business development, international market management, and ties with “large-scale” retail and the food industry.

On taking up the new role, Gizzi said: “My commitment will be to ensure continuity along this path, by enhancing internal talent and guiding the group into a new phase of development through industrial investments, organisational strengthening and the consolidation of our presence in international markets.”

DalterFood said Guidi will now continue his career “outside” the group.

The company said Guidi’s period in charge was marked by a “solid and structured” growth trajectory, including a stronger position in international markets and a broader commercial presence abroad.

DalterFood generated a turnover of €200m ($233.7m) in 2025.

In February, the Italian company opened a new cutting and packaging plant in Parma.

In March, the company expanded its cheese distribution in Europe with the acquisition of For Food France.

At the time, the company said the transaction was “part of a targeted growth strategy” to better serve its retail and foodservice customers in France.

DalterFood operates two cutting and cheese packaging plants in Italy through Dalter Alimentari located in Sant’Ilario d’Enza.

It also has dairies operated by Colline di Canossa in Selvapiana and Cigarello.
