Finnish food company Fresh Servant Group has expanded its presence in foodservice with the acquisition of Bama Fresh Cuts.
In a statement, Fresh Servant said it has signed an agreement with Norway's Bama Gruppen to buy the business.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Completion of the deal is subject to approval by the competition authority, the company added.
Based in Vantaa, Bama Fresh Cuts employs around 80 people and produces ready-cut salads and ready meals for retail and foodservice customers in Finland. Its portfolio includes around 160 products.
The business generated revenue of €24.2m ($27.7m) in 2025, with foodservice accounting for almost 80% of sales.
Bama's chairman for the Nordics, Atle Beyer, said: “Bama Fresh Cuts has built a strong position in the Finnish foodservice market. We are pleased to transfer the business to Fresh Servant, which has the expertise and commitment to develop it further. This is a positive outcome for both the business and the people involved.”
Fresh Servant said the acquisition supports its “growth strategy” and the company's plans to “deepen collaboration” with professional kitchens.
Fresh Servant CEO Sami Haapasalmi said: “This is the largest acquisition in Fresh Servant’s history and a significant strategic leap forward for us. We want to be at the forefront of shaping the future of the restaurant industry, and we strongly believe that out-of-home dining will continue to grow and evolve.
“Our goal is to make everyday life in professional kitchens smoother, bring bold new solutions to the market, and strengthen the role of fresh vegetables in consumers’ daily choices. We aim to be our customers’ number one partner when they seek convenience, well-being and growth.”
Fresh Servant was founded in 1995. The Finnish company produces ready meals, salads and snacks. It operates production sites in Pedersöre, Seinäjoki and Lapua in Finland.
Its brands include Hetki, Fresse and FreshPro. The company posted revenue of €110m last year.
