Self-priming centrifugal pump for pumping of foaming liquids.

In food production, foaming liquids present one of the most challenging conditions for centrifugal pumps. ANDRITZ has successfully solved this issue with its self-priming centrifugal pump.

A single-stage centrifugal pump has been combined with an integrated vacuum pump, which blocks accumulations of air at the impeller inlet. This ensures highly efficient pumping operations, even with fluids at higher viscosity.

To guarantee a trouble-free transport of the fluids, the vacuum pump withdraws gas content in the medium. Due to these design features, ANDRITZ’s self-priming centrifugal pumps successfully convey sugar content of 70%, liquids at high viscosity, and high air content such as fibrous slurries, starch milk, and potato juice without any difficulties.
