Swiss meat processor Bell Group has confirmed plans to launch a branded meats product line in France.

A spokesperson for the company told just-food this was the first time products carrying the Bell namesake would be sold in France.

The range will comprise snacking meat products and a range of sliced meats from European countries including serrano ham from Spain, black forest ham from Germany and Swiss dried beef Bundenerfleisch.

The range will be available in France from April 2016.

Last week Bell reported a jump in annual sales and profits and promised “several hundreds of million francs” in upgrading Swiss sites in Basel and Oensingen.
