Hain Celestial has expanded the Linda McCartney Foods range in the UK with the addition of three ‘classic British’ dishes.
Farmhouse Pies, Cottage Pie and Toad in the Hole will be available this autumn, and have been developed to give “more variety and choice to those seeking a meat-free or meat-reduced lifestyle”, the company said today (29 September).
The Farmhouse Pies are made with soya pieces, leeks, carrots and onions, a sauce seasoned with herbs, lemon, and servied in a crusty pastry.
The Cottage Pie contains soya, tomatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms topped with mashed potato. The Toad in the Hole is made with vegetarian sausages in a crispy batter.
“All three dishes are ideal alternatives to meat for anyone participating with the ‘Meat Free Monday’ campaign launched earlier this year by the McCartney family, in a bid to combat climate change,” the company said.
