Nestlé is to increase its stake in German frozen food and pizza company Wagner Tiefkuehlprodukte.
The company currently owns a 49% stake and said it now intends to increase its shareholding to 74%, with effect from 1 January next year.
The deal is subject to the approval of the German Federal Cartel Office.
“Nestlé has established itself as the ideal partner, our business in Europe continues to develop new markets,” said Wagner CEO Gottfried Hares.
Hares added that the increased stake will have no influence on the control structure of the business, which remains equal between Wagner and Nestlé.
