US fastfood chain Subway has announced the opening of its first location in the Czech Republic.
Subway said the new restaurant is especially important to the international development of the chain as Europe is considered to be an area with tremendous growth potential for the Subway brand.
Located in the capital city of Prague, the restaurant is in a tourist area near several foreign embassies. It is owned and operated by a group of six Subway franchisees.
Subway is the world’s largest submarine sandwich franchise, with nearly 20,00 locations in 74 countries.
