The deal was cleared under the EU’s simplified merger procedure, reported AFX News.
The companies announced in October that they planned to set up a 50/50 joint venture in the Swedish ice cream market. The new company, Svenska Glasskiosken, is to market, sell and distribute the two companies’ ice cream products in Sweden.
