“Over recent weeks we have been working hard to source sufficient lean beef in Canada to meet our total needs and we are delighted that we can now move to converting to 100% Canadian beef,” Trish Sahlstrom, A&W’s vice-president for purchasing and distribution, was quoted by the Canadian Press as saying.

A&W had previously bought beef from Australia, New Zealand and the US, when there was insufficient Canadian lean beef available to meet the hamburger requirements of its 619 restaurants.
