The contract, worth approximately €500,000 (US$491,000), will support 4,000 employees across Kingfisher’s operations in Thailand.

Kingfisher will use Movex Food and Beverage to support core business processes in the areas of enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, customer relationship management and business performance measurement. Movex will be implemented at Kingfisher’s main operations, which include the company’s Seapac, Frozen, and Canning operations.

Established in 1972, Kingfisher is credited with starting the Thai tuna industry. In 1990, Maruha Corporation of Japan, one of the biggest seafood enterprises in the world, joined Kingfisher as a shareholder. Since then, Kingfisher has had better access to the Japanese market and raw material sources around the world. Over the past 30 years, Kingfisher has earned a worldwide reputation for premium fish and marine products. Kingfisher sells its products domestically as well as for export to the Americas, the Asia Pacific region, Europe and the Middle East.
