Environment manager at Rivalea (Australia) Ian Longfield said: “Rivalea has ‘kicked the tyres’ on many biogas generator options over the last five years, to utilise gas collected from our piggery. We looked at many different technologies and vendors before settling on a 2G Avus 500 BG (500kW) Combined heat and power unit.

“Prior to placing the order, Evo Energy Technologies facilitated a local site tour before inviting me to tour the 2G factory in Heek, Germany and to visit several industrial and farming sites where the Avus 500 had been operating for several years. The factory tour was amazing and I was able to see many combined heat and power (CHP) systems at various construction stages in a spotless and well-organised facility.

“The farm tours were equally impressive to see and hear the experience of other farmers who had operated the 2G product over many years. The tour certainly gave me more than enough confidence to order the 2G product, (now three units) even though they were new to the Australian market. I highly recommend to anyone considering investing in a CHP, to take the time to visit the factory and enjoy the excellent hospitality from Evo and 2G.”
