Bizerba presents the high-performance, versatile label printer GLP Imaxx for labelling goods in the food industry.

The device can be used both as a standalone printer and a totals printer, and is suitable for labelling the weights of goods.

Both thermodirect and thermotransfer printing are possible, as well as display of one and two-dimensional codes.

Those responsible in the industry often use several devices to meet the various requirements in terms of printing and labelling. The GLP Imaxx has been designed to combine multiple features in one device.

Used as a standalone device, it offers an option to manually label packages, containers and pallets. Manufacturing companies can also use the device both as a manual price labeller for fixed values as well as for labelling weights.

Available as a table-top device or with a stand, the GLP Imaxx fits in the smallest of spaces. It can also be used as a totals printer connected to price labellers such as the GLM levo from Bizerba.

The GLP Imaxx takes label rolls with a diameter of up to 30cm, which shortens setup times (especially for larger labels, as the rolls have to be changed less frequently). Changing the labels can also be carried out in a few simple steps.

The labeller prints all common one and two-dimensional bar and QR codes in thermotransfer and thermodirect printing. Thanks to the UNICODE compatibility, character sets such as Chinese can be edited and printed. The printing unit can be maintained and set up without any tools, which reduces downtime.

The GLP Imaxx has new PC-based hardware and two gigabytes of memory, which enables faster preparation of the label data. Service staff can quickly initiate program updates, line backups, full backups and service printouts via an external USB connection. A further internal USB connection enables process data to be recorded and used for statistical analysis. For easier control, the GLP Imaxx has a seven-inch screen, which is also available as a twelve-inch touchscreen option.
