Asia-Pacific was the fastest-growing region for the hiring of artificial intelligence jobs by food manufacturers in the three months ending January.
The number of roles in Asia-Pacific made up 20.1% of total AI jobs – up from 16.9% in the same quarter of 2021.
That was followed by South & Central America, which saw a 0.8 year-on-year percentage point change in AI roles.

Which countries are seeing the most growth for AI job ads in the food industry?
The fastest-growing country was India, which accounted for 16.3% in the three months ending January 2022, up from 11.1% of all AI job ads in the corresponding period of 2021.
That was followed by the Netherlands (up 4.3 percentage points), the United Kingdom (up four points), and Mexico (up 1.3).
The top country for AI roles in the food industry was the US, which made up 32.2% of all roles advertised in the three months ending January.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for AI workers in the food industry?
Some 7.7% of all food-industry AI roles were advertised in the Indian city of Bengaluru in the three months ending January. The US city of Plano accounted for the same proportion of ads, followed by Chicago with 4.3% and Hyderabad in India with 3.1%.
