June 2022 has seen a decrease of 12.21% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.98% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering an increase of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 36.62% in June 2022, a 32.47% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 23.24% in June 2022, marking a 49.23% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 21.83% in June 2022, a 31.11% drop from May 2022.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 16.9% in June 2022, an 11.11% decline over the previous month.
Top five food companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 27.94% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. posted 45 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 37.5% over the previous month, followed by Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 19 jobs and an 11.76% growth. General Mills with 13 IT jobs and Bundl Technologies Private with 12 jobs, recorded a 30% rise and a 33.33% drop, respectively, while Masan Group recorded a 52.63% decline with 9 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 72.54% share in June 2022, a 35.63% decrease over May 2022. Vietnam featured next with a 6.34% share, down 52.63% over the previous month. New Zealand recorded a 4.93% share, a drop of 30% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.01%, down by 41.32% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.83% share, registered a decline of 26.19% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.34% share, down 10% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.82%, recording a month-on-month growth of 100%.
