Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 33.92% in September 2022, an 11.54% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 25.73% in September 2022, marking a 33.33% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 25.73% in September 2022, a 40.54% drop from August 2022.

Top five food companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 21.69% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food industry during September 2022 over previous month.

Nestle posted 46 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered an increase of 27.78% over the previous month, followed by Unibel with 24 jobs and an 84.62% growth. Ferrero Group with 12 IT jobs and Cherkizovo Group with 11 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a 38.89% drop, respectively, while maxingvest recorded a 14.29% increase with 8 job postings during September 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food industry

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s food industry IT hiring activity with a 27.49% share in September 2022, a 7.84% decrease over August 2022. France featured next with a 25.73% share, up 76% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 12.28% share, a drop of 44.74% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.85%, down by 10.49% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.04% share, registered a decline of 25% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.11% share, flat growth over August 2022.
