Germany’s food industry registered a 0.6% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 11.99% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.86% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.28% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s food industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.94% in September 2022, registering a 14.81% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 21.28% share, a decrease of 23.08% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 19.15%, registering a 50% rise from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 10.64%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five food companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 4.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s food industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Nestle posted 21 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 162.5% over the previous month, followed by maxingvest with 8 jobs and a 14.29% growth. Ferrero Group with 8 IT jobs and HelloFresh with 6 jobs, recorded a 14.29% growth and a 70% decrease, respectively, while Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. recorded a decline of 60% with 2 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.34%, down by 2.86% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.89% share, registered a decline of 53.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.77% share, up 500% over August 2022.
