Saudi food group Almarai has reported a 10% rise in profits for the first nine months of 2014.

Almarai booked net profit of SAR1.25bn (US$333.2m) for the nine months to the end of September, up 10.4% on the same period in 2013.

The company saw sales from earnings from its dairy and juice unit and from its bakery division rise. However, losses from Almarai’s poultry arm increased. Sales from each division were up, with Almarai’s total sales climbing 13% to SAR8.21bn.
