US business Amplify Snack Brands has broadened the range of products sold under flagship brand SkinnyPop in its domestic market.

The company has launched a line of microwaveable popcorn and rolled out a product it calls popcorn cakes.

“These exciting product lines are natural extensions for a disruptive and beloved brand like SkinnyPop,” president and CEO Tom Ennis claimed.

The microwaveable popcorn come in sea salt and butter flavours. The cakes are available in sea salt, maple brown sugar and white cheddar flavours. They are packaged in individual serving sizes to maintain freshness, Amplify said.

The company is also launching a line of popcorn “mini” cakes, available in three flavours: sea salt, cinnamon and sugar, plus sharp cheddar.

The products are available online and at “major retailers”, Amplify said.

SkinnyPop is one of a range of Amplify brands, which the company extended last year with the acquisition of UK crisp firm Tyrrells.
