Burger King franchise Hungry Jack’s is in court this week to demand the removal of an advertising banner from the front of fastfood outlet Dunn’s situated opposite. The allegedly offending banner reads “Hungry? Come to Jack’s” and was hung up by owner Jack Dunn, who has since collected over 500 supporting signatures from locals.

Hungry Jack’s opened its outlet opposite the well-established Dunn’s and is now demanding the payment of damages to its business or the surrender of all profits made by Dunn’s from when the sign went up in June this year. Jack Dunn meanwhile maintains that he is perfectly entitled to use his own name in his advertising.
