Western Australia Agricultural Minister Kim Chance has dismissed media reports that a full-scale audit of the WA Grain Pool will take place.

The statutory marketing authority is already due to undergo a review in mid 2002 under the Grain Marketing Act, but the Pastoralists and Graziers Association had claimed that Chance was preparing for a separate review.

Chance commented yesterday that while he had been quizzing the pool’s chairman, Robert Sewell, on certain workings of the pool, a full-scale audit was not on his agenda.
