International fastfood chain Domino’s Pizza has opened three new outlets in South Australia (SA), creating up to 100 new jobs and bringing the total number of restaurants in Adelaide to 13, according to the Sunday Mail.

MD Fel Bevacqua commented that Domino’s Development Fund would fund two of the new stores, in Tranmere and Golden Grove. The fund was established to support young employees establish their own businesses: “It makes good sense for us to support the aspirations of our young stars, many of whom started work with us as pizza makers and delivery drivers, because they have grown up with our products.”

The other store, in Pasadena, will be owned and managed by Fernando Pacheco.

Since opening its first store in Malvern in 1999, Domino’s has generated sales of about 750,000 pizzas a year in SA. The company has revealed ambitious expansion plans however, aiming to hit the one million mark within the next two months.

Over 64 countries, Domino’s produces more than 338m pizzas every year, and generates annual turnover of US$4.9bn.
