Long-time food industry professional Dr Anthos Yannakou has been appointed CEO of Australia’s largest and most diversified food research organisation, Food Science Australia.

“Food Science Australia is now moving into a phase in which we must focus our energy and resources on specific areas of research where we can achieve and maintain world competitiveness,” said Food Science Australia’s chairman, Alan Tooth. “The 30 years of experience that Dr Yannakou will bring to the organisation will prove invaluable in this challenge.”

Currently Dr Yannakou manages his own consultancy, working on assignments for both public and private sector organisations in South Africa.
