Australian dried fruit producer Sunbeam Foods is voluntarily recalling 12 products after evidence of metal contamination was uncovered.

The Victoria-based company is conducting an inquiry into how metal came to be found in a packet of dates. The packet in question was packaged at Sunbeam’s Angaston facility in South Australia.

Consumers are being requested to return the affected products back to the store where they were purchased, where they will be given a full refund.
