Ice cream and frozen snack manufacturer CoolBrands International announced the resignation of David Smith from its board of directors on Friday (14 June).

Smith said he wanted to leave to pursue other endeavours having sold Calip Dairies to an undisclosed third party. Calip will continue to distribute CoolBrands’ products in New York City.
Speaking on behalf of the board, David Stein, co-chairman, president and CEO of CoolBrands, said: “The company understands David’s desire to move on to other endeavours and thanks him for all his years of service to the company.”
