Canadian group Dare Foods has launched a range of peanut-free snacks aimed at children in its domestic market.

Dare has developed three lines using the Wowbutter spread, which is a peanut butter-style product without the peanuts made by Wowbutter Foods. It is the first time Dare has used the spread.

“We understand how tough it can be to find a good variety of peanut-free school snacks kids can enjoy,” said Kelly McInenly, senior director of marketing at Dare Foods. “At Dare, we are committed to creating products that not only taste great but are more nutritious and safe for kids to eat.”

The products are made in Dare Foods; nut-free and peanut-free facility in Canada. The range is priced between C$2.99 and C$3.49 (US$2.71-3.17).
