Planet Organic Health, the leading Canadian natural products retailer, has posted third quarter revenues of C$10.1m (US$9.2m), up 26.1% from C$8m in the corresponding period last year.
Sales for the nine-month period rose by 48.2% from C$18.7m to C$27.7m.
The company said that its Planet Organic Markets division recorded like-for-like growth of 34.7%, with overall revenues rising from C$5.4m to C$7.2m.
“I am very pleased by the same store sales,” said Mark Craft, Planet Organic Markets president and co-founder. “It shows that we are delivering to customers what they expect of us – fresh organic and natural foods, healthy living products, plus great customer service.”
The company also recorded strong growth from its Sangsters Health Centres division which saw revenues increase by 54.4% to C$4.1m.
