Robinson Crusoe has announced a strategic alliance with AquaChile, whereby AquaChile will hold a 60% equity stake in the Chilean salmon producer and processor.

Robinson Crusoe will maintain its identity and independence: the founding shareholders will continue to manage the company, which will retain the license of the Robinson Crusoe brand name.

“This alliance significantly advances the strategic objectives of both Robinson Crusoe and AquaChile by allowing each company to focus on its respective area of expertise,” said Ignacio Kleiman, of  Rabobank International who advised Robinson Crusoe on the deal.
