Chinas ministry of commerce has announced that the preliminary determination of an investigation has found dumping of nucleotide food additives originated from Japan and Korea, and found that the dumping had adversely effected domestic industries.

The ministry has decided to take provisional anti-dumping measures against the products involved.

As of 4 August 2005, when shipping nucleotide food additives from Japan and Korea, securities equivalent to the dumping margins established for companies varying from 25% to 1441% have to be provided by importers to the Chinese customs.

The products under investigation are food additives used for improving taste in flavourings, such as monosodium glutamate and sauce.
