A third executive has left Wal-Mart Stores’ business in China, the world’s largest retailer has confirmed.
Shawn Gray, vice president of Wal-Mart’s hypermarket operations, has left the company “due to personal reasons to explore other opportunities”, the retailer told just-food.
The confirmation of Gray’s departure comes after Wal-Mart said last month that two other executives had left its Chinese unit.
Roland Lawrence and Rob Cissell, the then CFO and COO of Wal-Mart’s Chinese operations, also left to explore new opportunities.
Wal-Mart has since appointed Mario-José Medina as CFO and Del Sloenker as COO of its Chinese arm.
The retailer, however, refused to be drawn on who had taken on Gray’s responsibilities or if a replacement would be appointed.
