With the exclusion of poultry, figures released by the Czech Statistical Office have revealed that meat production in the Czech republic this October reached only 44,817 tonnes, a decrease of 5.5% since last year. This was largely due to the fall in production of beef and veal (down by 9.2%) and pork (down by 4.3%) and from January to October, meat production reached 420,471, a drop of 15.3% overall.
