UK chocolatier Thorntons has begun selling its products in Central Europe, beginning with the Czech Republic.

Thorntons plans to sell both its collection boxes and block bars in the country. “The former are a flagship product for the premium market, while the latter are very reasonably priced,” Mark Hughes, the company’s representative in the Czech Republic, told just-food.

The next market which Thorntons plans to enter in Central Europe is Poland. “Here, however, we will offer our chocolates and sweets mainly in supermarkets, not small shops as is the case in the Czech Republic,” Hughes said.
