Del Monte Pacific has promoted CFO Ignacio Carmelo Sison to the post of chief corporate officer.

He will be replaced as CFO by Parag Sachdeva, who joins from brewing giant Carlsberg.

Detailing the move, Del Monte Pacific said that it anticipates "major business and financial developments" over the next five years. These will require "greater attention" to corporate sustainability, enterprise risk management, and corporate and strategic planning. At present, the company does not have an executive responsible for these areas so the board determined to promote Sison to the role. Sison joined the group in 1999 and has served as CFO since 2006.

His replacement as finance chief, Sachdeva, joins Del Monte Pacific from Carlsberg, where he served as VP of efficiency and effectiveness. Sachdeva's career also includes time at Heinz, where he held posts of increasing responsibility at the ketchup giant in the Asia Pacific region.
