Imbued with the traditional generosity of Santa Claus, executives at the Danish division of the largest dairy firm in Europe have announced that all Danish dairy herd owners will receive a seasonal holiday bonus of DKr70,000.

It seems that the move was prompted by a year of exceeded financial targets, which saw earnings per lire of milk rise by around 5 øre (DKr0.05) compared to 1999. Fiscal results for the total company are to be published on 14 December.
