Danish meat giant Danish Crown has dropped its charges against co-patriot Hanegal Okologisk Kod (Hanegal Organic Meat), leaving the organic meat producer legally able to produce its low-fat liver pâté.

The dispute arose after Danish Crown claimed that Hanegal was breaking some of its process patents with its recipe for the pâté product.

The two companies revealed on Friday however that Danish Crown representatives had since studied Hanegal’s liver pate production methods and found that they did not infringe upon its process patents.
