US-based consumer packaged goods investor Fenwick Brands has taken a stake in local firm HannahMax Cookie Chips.
With this investment (of an undisclosed amount) Fenwick is partnering with existing investors, the founders and management to support the brand’s growth and expansion plans.
HannahMax Cookie Chips are manufactured by Gardena, California-based HannahMax Baking.
Melissa Baker, president and CEO of Fenwick, said: “We evaluate a lot of emerging snacking brands, but Cookie Chips stands alone as a highly-addictive product that has universal snacking appeal.
“Backing a brand with great fanfare and flavour fits well within our expertise, and we look forward to partnering with a best-in-class team as we scale the business.”
Cookie Chips are made with non-GMO ingredients and contain no artificial flavours, sweeteners, colouring, preservatives or trans-fats. They are currently sold in conventional and natural grocery stores across the US and Canada, with plans to expand distribution.
Fenwick Brands provides growth capital and industry expertise to help create brand value.
