US baker Flowers Foods is extending its snack cake brand, Mrs. Freshley’s, with the addition of two new snack products: peanut butter cupcakes and brownies.
Mrs. Freshley’s peanut butter cupcakes feature chocolate cake and peanut butter flavoured creme filling, covered in rich peanut butter icing. They are available throughout the US in six-count boxes, for US$1.39-$2.99, and in two-count boxes for $0.99-$1.39.
Mrs. Freshley’s peanut butter brownies feature chocolate brownie with peanut butter icing.They are available in 3 oz. single serve packages for an estimate retail price of $0.99-$1.39.
Commenting on the launch, Flowers’ brand manager Meredith Butler said: “With peanut butter being a popular flavour, we think consumers will enjoy our take on the classic flavour combination of peanut butter and chocolate in these two new items.”
