Unilever-owned French baking powder and desserts brand Alsa will next month launch ‘home-made’ fruit-flavoured ice creams and yoghurts.
Alsa’s sugar and gelling agent-based preparation for its ‘Ma glace maison’ offers the possibility of making 900ml of ice cream without a sorbet maker. A 250g sachet is mixed with 500g of fruit which is then placed in a freezer for seven hours.
Alsa’s ‘Mon yaourt maison’ preparation entails mixing a sachet of lactic ferments with a litre of milk before pouring the contents into pots and placing them into a yoghurt maker for 8 hours. Three versions of yoghurts are available- firm and smooth-textured and bifidus.
