French food processor Bonduelle has said that first half sales rose by 5% to EUR603.4m (US$742.157m), up from EUR574.7m last year.
Bonduelle attributed growth to a 6.9% increase in demand for conserves and a 6.3% increase in demand for fresh produce. A 0.4% drop in revenues from frozen food offset these gains.
In the second quarter, sales of conserves increased 4.1%, fresh produce 3.6% and frozen foods 1.2%, Bonduelle said.
