Groupe Danone SA could reportedly spend up to $1bn a year in acquisitions over the next three to five years.
The food and bottled water company’s CFO Antoine Giscard D’Estaing told the Wall Street Journal in an interview that Danone intends to double the number of countries it operations in, from 40 to around 80.
Danone is looking at acquisitions in Chile, Tunisia, Thailand, China and Eastern Europe, Giscard D’Estaing purportedly added.
