French dairy giant Danone has launched its Fantasia yoghurt brand into its domestic market.

Danone told just-food today (9 September) that the launch of Fantasia was its first move into France’s specialités laitières category.

The three Fantasia products are similar to the twin-pot or split-pot yoghurts on sale in the UK – with yoghurt in one compartment and fruit compote or flakes in another.

“Double-compartmented, with a dairy speciality on one side and toppings on the other, Fantasia allows everyone to create their own gesture and express their concept of fantasy by mixing flavors and textures,” Danone said.

The yoghurts, which have been on sale in Germany and Poland, are aimed at “young adults” aged 20- to 40-years-old, Danone said.
