France’s second largest industrial baker Jacquet is to buy Créperie Lebreton from milling business Groupe Soufflet.
Créperie Lebreton is a large-scale supplier of plain and stuffed pancakes, both branded and private label, with annual sales of EUR9m (US$13.5m) a year, employing about 60 staff.
Jacquet director general Emmanuel Aimond told journalists that the acquisition would complement its existing brands, including Baguettine and Tartine Maline and a range of sandwich products, such as Maxi Jac’.
Jacquet is the downstream bakery products arm of Limagrain, a EUR1.2bn seeds and cereal products group.
