French meat exporter Jestin has reported a fall in first-quarter turnover to €4.2m (US$4.9m), compared to €12.7m for the first quarter of 2002.

For 2002, the company posted a 33.3% fall in yearly turnover to €50.1m. Jestin filed for bankruptcy in February 2003 and was placed into receivership for a six-month observation period.

Jestin exports pork, beef, poultry and fish products to more than 35 countries, reported the French News Digest.
