Kraft Foods has brought together two of its star brands – Lu and Côte d’Or – for the launch of Côte d’Or de Lu – a product combining the ‘classic’ plain Lu biscuit and a slab of Côte d’Or chocolate.
The product is designed along the lines of Lu’s flagship family biscuit Petits Ecolier but a Kraft spokesperson told just-food there is a heightened emphasis on the high quality of the chocolate, making the 35+ age bracket the main consumer target.
Côte d’Or de Lu, which has been launched in France and in other countries, is available in three flavours: milk chocolate, milk nut chocolate and dark nut chocolate.
