Swiss chocolate maker Lindt & Sprungli is investing €15m (US$17.9m) over the next two years in extending its Oloron-St Marie plant, near Pau, in south-west France.

The company is adding 6,000 square metres of warehousing at the plant that is scheduled to enter service in 2006. There are also plans to set up a museum-shop on site.

The plant produces between 25,000 and 30,000 tonnes of chocolate annually and accounts for almost 25% of Lindt & Sprungli’s global sales.
