Marks and Spencer, which is returning to Paris with the opening of a store before Christmas, plans to open a further four outlets in the French capital.

The retailer said today (17 November) that it has signed leases for four stores in Paris, which will stock food, womenswear and lingerie, menswear, kidswear and homeware.

In addition, the company said it is continuing to look for sites for Simply Food stores, which the retailer announced in April.

Marks and Spencer is returning to France a decade after it quit the market. It has not announced an opening date for the store on the Champs-Elysées but said it will be up and running before Christmas. The 1,400 sq metre store will sell food, as well as women’s wear and lingerie ranges.
