Patak’s, the UK-based GBP80m (US$150m) a year Indian food specialist, has launched a five-strong range of marinades in 180ml bottles at the international food show SIAL in Paris. The range has already won listings with Tesco and Morrisons in the UK.

The flavours are mint & coriander; spicy tomato; tandoori BBQ; tangy fruit and kashmiri chilli. They continue the philosophy developed by Patak’s founder Kirit Patak in the 1990s to put authentic Indian foods firmly into the mainstream: today the range covers breads, pickles, dips and chutneys as well as an extensive range of sauces, curry pastes and now marinades.
