Nine retailers are to face legal action over unfair practices imposed on their suppliers.
The retailers include Auchan, Carrefour, Leclerc, Cora, Système U and Casino, according to reports.
Herve Novelli, France’s Secretary of State for Commerce said yesterday (28 October) that the Government will issue suits nine distributors for unfair practices imposed on their suppliers. “There will be papers in the coming days,” he warned on French television.
Each retailer is understood to be facing a maximum fine of EUR2m (US$), Novelli said.
