General Mills is launching Fibre 1 cheesecake bars in Canada.

The line includes two varieties: key lime and chocolate. Each bar contains 150 calories, the company revealed.

Fibre 1 cheesecake bars are available at major grocery stores throughout the country, in a five-count box for the suggested retail price of CAD3.49 (US$2.65).

“For many people cheesecake is the gold-standard of desserts,” said Jason Doolan, director of marketing, General Mills Canada. “The new line of Fibre 1 cheesecake bars allow you to savour that same rich cheesecake taste, but in a healthier-for-you serving. We are excited to help Canadians have what they crave.”

General Mills announced plans to take its Cheerios brand gluten-free in Canada earlier this month, after the group initially made the switch in the US. The company recently revealed a raft of new product development which is set to be rolled out across its domestic market focusing on the trends of snacking, wellness and convenience.
