German confectioner Katjes International has acquired a 100% stake in French candy firm Lamy Lutti.

In November, Katjes upped its stake in Lamy Lutti to 66.6% and in July launched an EUR30m (US$42.2m) bond to finance the purchase of the remaining 33.3%.

Now the company has confirmed the sale has gone through, rendering them the sole owners.

Katjes also yesterday (6 September) announced the appointment of Dr Stefan Feit to the management team.

Stefan is leaving his role as managing director at German snack manufacturer Viba Sweets and will start his new role next month.

Katjes were not available for comment.
